[ the garage seemed as good a place as any to find the model husband. so here she is, kind of just walking into the place looking around ]

Tsumugu? Are you here? It's lunch time, are you hungry?

[ the model husband is, in fact, in the garage, whistling to led zeppelin and fiddling with the car's insides. he looks up when he hears lulu's voice, leaning around the open hood to look at her. ]

Lulu. I can take a lunch break - are you eating now?

I brought lunch for both of us! [ and with this she held up two large wrapped lunches ]

I made some porridge, honey glazed salmon, and some fresh warm honey milk~

[ at least she doesn't come empty handed ]

[ that is the most bear-like meal he's ever heard of.

he cracks half a smile, pushing back from the car to pluck a hand towel off the workbench. ] Well then, I'd hate to waste your hard work. Where to?

[ assuming she doesn't want to eat lunch in the garage. hell, he doesn't even want to eat lunch in the garage. ]

[ it was what she did best, but she would be trying to learn more of what would be considered normal food. eventually. but for now she seems happy enough that tsumugu accepts this ]

We can eat at one of the outdoor tables in one of the cafes nearby, that way it's not too far right? [ she wouldn't mind eating in the garage honestly, it would just be different ]

Have you heard about the party that's going to happen this week?

That's fine. [ he drops the towel on the bench, hands clean of grease. he pauses to pat his pockets - phone, lighter, pack of smokes - and nods to himself, moving toward her in the doorway. ]

The one for Halloween? [ he pulls a face, but it's a pretty tame one, for him. ] It's a little hard to miss.

[ it seemed extra pleasing that this seemed like an easy solution. walking out and making sure tsumugu was with her all the while, she continues to speak as she continues on ]

It seemed kind of interesting, not too formal like the other parties I've been to... [ lulu picks out a table, setting the basket down and pulling out a cloth to set out before pulling out various other containers to set up ]

I mean it's fine if you don't want to go--I just thought I'd ask because there was always a fuss about having to have an escort at home, but if you'd like... Maybe you can escort me?

[ she's so well-prepared it's kind of cute. he waits for her to lay out her picnic-ready tablecloth before he leans an elbow on the table, settling in across from her and looking at her lunch spread. she really went all out.

he looks up, eyebrows raised, at the offer-question-however-he-should-categorize-that. ]

Are you asking me to be your date to the Halloween dance? [ surprised more than offended. ]
